Our exploration experience has seen us deliver a diverse array of projects throughout North America and across the globe. Along the way, our team has drilled over 500,000 meters across 220+ exploration projects to complete a significant body of technical work, some of which has provided the foundation for profitable mining ventures.
Kudz Ze Kayah is a pre-feasibility stage project focused on two volcanic massive sulphide (VMS) deposits located in the Finlayson District of central Yukon. Equity has been managing exploration and development work since early 2015 including: submitting permit application, constructing camp, managing >50,000 m of diamond drilling, geological interpretation and modelling to support an updated resource estimate and pre-feasibility study.
Madsen is a preliminary economic assessment stage project focused on exploration around two past-producing gold mines in the Red Lake district of northern Ontario. Equity has been managing surface and underground exploration programs since 2014 across the Madsen property including over 150,000 m of diamond drilling since 2016.
Mount Milligan is a copper-gold mine located in central British Columbia. Since 2010, Equity has managed >25,000 m of drilling on the deposit, as well as reconnaissance exploration and geophysical surveys.
Detour Trend was a large-scale drilling project in the Canadian Province of Quebec which allowed us to work alongside Balmoral Resources to plan and execute over 68,000 m of diamond drilling. Our work in this area led to the discovery of several new high-grade zones of gold mineralization and won Balmoral Resources Quebec Prospector of the Year in 2013.
Berg is an advanced-stage copper-molybdenum-silver project located in west-central BC. Over the past 10 years Equity has managed >30,000 m of resource delineation drilling at Berg, and has also built a 3D geological model of the deposit, supported data collection for new resource calculations, built and operated a 40-person camp in a remote mountain setting, and conducted property wide reconnaissance exploration.
Wernecke is an early-stage iron-oxide-copper-gold (IOCG) project located in north-eastern Yukon. From 1992-95, Equity was a driving force behind rejuvenation of exploration in the Wenecke region and the introduction of the IOCG Model to the area. In 2006-07, Equity further evaluated numerous targets by soil, silt and rock geochemistry, mapping, prospecting, trenching and diamond drilling.
Homestake Ridge is an advanced-stage gold-silver property located in north-west BC. Over two seasons, Equity managed significant exploration at Homestake Ridge for Agnico Eagle that included >6,500 m of drilling as well as property-scale geologic mapping, soil sampling and ground geophysics. Equity also built and operated a 30-person camp in a remote mountain setting and helped discover a new 1 km long zone of epithermal veining that runs parallel to the previously defined mineralization.
Wolverine is a past-producing, high-grade, zinc-silver-copper-lead-gold underground mine that was discovered by an Equity team led by Mark Baknes. In 2002, Mr. Baknes was awarded AMEBC’s Excellence in Prospecting and Mineral Exploration for this discovery.
The Andrew zinc deposit is an advanced stage project located in central Yukon. Equity managed a resource-definition drilling campaign, built the geological model to support resource work and targeted nearby resources through mapping, soil sampling, trenching and drilling.
Hog Ranch is a historical heap-leach mine site that was focussed on a broad low-grade alteration zone comprising part of a low-sulphidation epithermal system. Equity compiled historical data, mapped the property and managed a combination diamond and reverse circulation drilling campaign targeting high-grade gold veins in the feeder parts of the epithermal system.
