Richard started his geology career with a research project for his MSc degree on the depositional timing of the Paleoproterozoic iron-formations and related sedimentary sequences in the remote Northern Cape province of South Africa. This field based research led to his first position as an exploration geologist on the Gamsberg broken hill type zinc-lead deposit with Anglo American. Following on from this he moved into the industrial minerals sector and spent over 10 years involved in mining and exploration for various industrial minerals across South Africa and Mozambique. In 2022 Richard moved to Canada and joined the Equity team.
