Logan joined Equity as an Assistant Geologist in the summer of 2021 as part of a European cohort of contract staff. Quickly rising through the ranks, he advanced to Project Geologist and joined the team full-time in early 2022.
As an early-career geologist, Logan has a keen interest in a wide range of deposit types and geological settings, having already gained experience at multiple stages of the mining cycle. Combining critical thinking with a data-led approach, he continues to develop his geological and management skills required for a successful career in the exploration industry.
Planned and managed a multi-faceted greenfield exploration programme including airborne geophysics, surface sampling, and RAB drilling components.
Surface sampling and geological mapping of the historic Cu-Au porphyry system, helping produce new drill targets on the property and refining geological interpretation of the deposit.
Core logging of the Irish-type Zn-Pb Tara Deep Project, helping expand geological understanding of the deposit and increasing geotechnical knowledge for the ongoing exploration access drift.
M.Sc. thesis project consisting of spatial analysis of base-metal sulphides and platinum-group metals, focused on the Northern Limb of the Bushveld Igneous Complex.
