Brian joined the team Equity in 2015 with 6+ years experience as a Project Manager outside of the mineral exploration industry, primarily with environmental consultancies working on large scale infrastructure and construction projects. Since joining the team, he has been involved in the planning and execution of some of our major field programs. Working closely with our Project Geologists to find efficiencies in our logistics systems, while assuming responsibility for the management of in-field project components such as health & safety, community engagement, regulatory engagement and permitting, budget control and forecasting.

Brian has a keen interest in applying accepted best-practice project management methods to both the Equity business process and individual exploration projects, should they add value. To this end he provides support across project teams on the implementation of risk management and quality management initiatives.

Significant Projects

KZK Project, Yukon, Canada

Co-managed prefeasibility-level work programs since 2015. Responsibilities include engagment with local First Nation communities, contruction and management of 50 person remote field camp, management of sub-contractors, design and implementation of Safety, Health, Environment Management Plans.

Habitat enhancement program, British Columbia, Canada

Responsible for project controls, quality management and risk management on program consisting of the design and construction of several habitat enhancement projects in southwest-British Columbia in support of the proposed Roberts Bank Terminal 2 port expansion project.

Site C Clean Energy Project, British Columbia, Canada

Part of the project management team during the project planning stage of the proposed Site C dam. Primary responsibilities included the drafting of risk management plans for the early project phases, maintaining project risk register, facilitate and lead risk management workshops with subject matter experts, and ongoing analysis of project schedule/cost sensitivities.

Various Projects, Aecom, Ireland

Central liaison for all field based Project Managers on up to 15+ design-build-operate (DBO) projects at any given time. Responsibilities included budget monitoring, schedule maintenance, risk analysis and regulatory engagement. Also responsible for drafting health and safety, quality and environmental management plans, procedures, and internal auditing in line with company held ISO certifications.
